Pink Floyd Remastered Vinyl Review
This remaster sounds wonderful.
Pink floyd remastered vinyl review. Good day to everyone. The most recent vinyl re issue of the dark side of the moon is the 2016 remastered edition on heavyweight 180gr vinyl. The highs and the lows are loud and clear and you get every bit of the analog warmth you re looking for. From the tongue incheek title to the anchored dancers on the cover shot in sunny dungeness a collection of great dance songs was always a curio in floyd s catalogue.
This is the second batch of remastered titles released in groups of four but meddle is the first i have purchased on vinyl since the originals i mean. Meddle floyd s 71 masterpiece is finally available on 180 gram vinyl via pink floyd records. This has been my favorite pink floyd album for years. However the one reissue avenue the floyd have seemed quite apprehensive of undertaking is a full on effort to release their entire studio catalogue on remastered audiophile worthy vinyl.
The lp is housed in a gatefold sleeve printed on a black matte cardboard which also includes two stickers and two original posters with art by hipgnosis. One of the most commercially successful and influential rock groups in the history of popular music they have sold over 250. Leaving that aside the remaster for this vinyl pressing is fantastic. Pink floyd were an english rock band that achieved international success with their progressive and psychedelic rock music marked by the use of philosophical lyrics sonic experimentation and elaborate live shows.
Anyway i will begin. The full record was remastered from the original analogue tapes by james guthrie joel plante and bernie grundman. Originally the album was edited to make the tracks shorter in order. I intended to begin my reviews of the new pink floyd 2016 reissue vinyl with their first album the piper at the gates of dawn but alas the first one from the first four to arrive happens to be the last of the chronological four.
