Picking Marble Up With Toes
This is by far the most difficult exercise.
Picking marble up with toes. Pick up one marble at a time with your toes and place it in the bowl. Repeat with the other foot. After picking up each marble or pebble grip it with your toes then try to place it in the drinking cup or mug. 10 minute picking up marbles i hate this exercise.
Sit in a chair and place five to 20 marbles next to a cup on the floor in front of you. This three part exercise will start to get your toes and feet moving. Use one foot to pick up all 20 marbles. Toe raise point and curl.
Multiple times the kiddo would have a marble in their toes and then they would focus on moving their leg and foot. Spend 1 2 minutes doing this twice a day. Sit in a straight backed chair with your feet flat on the floor. Strengthening the intrinsic muscles in your feet will help during recovery from plantar fasciitis and long term may help prevent any reoccurrence.
You can use any small items e g. To strengthen the toes and feet you need to use them in ways you wouldn t normally such as picking up marbles with the toes. How often should i exercise my toes. If you suffer from plantar fasciitis many of the small stabilization muscles in your feet and toes may be weak and inflexible.
I repeat this twice. Repeat with the other foot. This exercise will get easier the more you practice. Coordination motor planning as the kiddos are trying to pick up one or more marbles they need to coordinate keeping their toes closed around the marble as well as moving their leg and foot over the bucket to drop the marble in.
Dice or pencil instead of marbles. Don t be discouraged if toe and foot exercises are difficult at first. Pick up one marble at a time with your toes and place it in the bowl. Even after 3 weeks i struggle to do this.
I realized the first time i did this how real my injury was. Pick each marble up with your toes and drop it in the bowel. Use one foot to pick up all 20 marbles.
