Heat resistant vinyl ester concrete. A high molecular weight vinyl ester formula is available for high heat and extreme chemical service and is designated as tl 405ar hmw. Vinyl ester has fewer open sites in its molecular chain. It is ideal for use as a troweled mortar slurry binder and coating for concrete and steel in extremely corrosive areas where resistance. This makes it much more resistant to water penetration hydrolysis which can cause osmotic blistering.
History of development since the 1960s polyester and vinyl ester linings have. Vinyl esters shrink less on curing which means that pre release of a laminate from a mold is less significant. These linings include several sys tems varying in thickness type of fillers and reinforcement and appli cation method. For each lining sys tem various polyester and vinyl ester resin bases are used to achieve the desired chemical resistance.
